As we continue this year’s theme, “Springing into Action,” in partnership with Columbia Community Service, the SEAS HR Admin team is excited to share an upcoming volunteer opportunity at Broadway Community on Tuesday, April 29, from 12:00–3:00 PM. This is a great chance to give back alongside colleagues while reinforcing our mission of Engineering for Humanity.
About Broadway Community:
Broadway Community gathers around an open table, ensuring that justice, dignity, health, and wholeness are accessible to all—especially those in Morningside Heights. Their programs, including a soup kitchen, food pantries, medical services, and clothing distribution, break down barriers of poverty and inequity.
Why Participate?
This event is an opportunity to extend our mission beyond the classroom and workplace, making a tangible impact on those in need. By volunteering, we reaffirm our commitment to service, innovation, and community well-being.
Event Details:
- Meeting Spot: Outside 510 Mudd Building at 11:30 AM (to walk over together)
- Volunteers Needed: Up to 15 employees- ( Sign up early)
- Tasks: Serving meals as wait staff and assisting with breakdown and cleanup
- Attire: Please wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be on your feet most of the event
