2025 Summer Staff Social Highlights

On August 13th, Columbia Engineering hosted the 3rd Annual Summer Staff Social in Carleton Commons. The event brought our community together to celebrate staff achievements, recognize years of service, and enjoy an afternoon of food, games, and connection.

This year’s theme, “Summer Games,” featured Minute-to-Win-It relays like This Blows, Stack Attack, and Moving On Up, sparking plenty of laughter and friendly competition. Staff also enjoyed summer cookout favorites, refreshing boba tea, and popsicles. The perfect way to cool down on a hot August afternoon.

Every attendee received a “summer essentials kit” as a thank you for their hard work.

Per tradition, we had the pleasure of recognizing full-time staff who celebrated major milestone anniversaries with Columbia Engineering during the fiscal year in 5-year increments. Milestone honorees were recognized with a commemorative pin, gift bag, certificate, and a photo with Dean Shih-Fu Chang, who also delivered a warm speech expressing his gratitude for staff dedication to Columbia Engineering.
