Tiny Changes, Lasting Impact: Building Better Habits for Well-Being

Columbia Engineering welcomed staff for Tiny Changes, Lasting Impact: Building Better Habits for Well-Being, an interactive workshop focused on how small, intentional actions can lead to meaningful and lasting improvements in everyday life.

Facilitated by Amisha Manhas, MPH, Senior Health Promotion Specialist with Optum Workplace Well-being at Columbia University Human Resources, the session introduced practical strategies inspired by James Clear's bestselling book, Atomic Habits. Participants explored how habits are formed, ways to overcome common barriers to consistency, and simple techniques for creating healthier, more sustainable routines.

Held in Mudd 1127, the workshop also provided an opportunity for staff to step away from their daily responsibilities, connect with colleagues, and dedicate time to their personal well-being.
