2026 Summer Staff Social Highlights

On July 1, 2026, Columbia Engineering hosted its 4th Annual Summer Staff Social in Carleton Commons. The event brought our community together to celebrate staff achievements, recognize years of service, and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and connection.

This year's theme, "Building Bonds Beyond Work," celebrated the relationships, collaboration, and sense of community that make Columbia Engineering a great place to work. Staff enjoyed lunch, refreshments, raffle prizes, and SEAS swag while participating in interactive activities, including SEAS-Connect Bingo, Spot the Crown, and Guess the Jelly Beans, creating plenty of laughter, conversation, and friendly competition.

Every attendee received a Summer Essentials Box as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Per tradition, we had the pleasure of recognizing full-time Officers of Administration who celebrated milestone service anniversaries with Columbia Engineering during Fiscal Year 2026 in five-year increments. Milestone honorees were recognized during the celebration, and Dean Shih-Fu Chang shared heartfelt remarks expressing his gratitude for their years of service, dedication, and lasting contributions to the Columbia Engineering community.
