Yoga@Work Returns to SEAS as Part of the Spring "Wellness in Full Bloom" Initiative

Columbia Engineering continued its commitment to employee well-being by bringing back the Yoga@Work program, offered as part of the School’s Wellness in Full Bloom initiative. Building on the success of previous sessions, this expanded series provided staff with additional opportunities to incorporate movement and mindfulness into the workday.

The program featured eight one-hour sessions led by Lily Amirfazli, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) from Columbia University’s Dodge Fitness Center. Held in the Electrical Engineering Student Lounge, the sessions created a welcoming space for employees to step away from their daily routines and engage in guided movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques. Open to all experience levels, the program emphasized accessibility while encouraging participants to develop sustainable wellness practices.
